Hi

The JFS probably overwrote some patches

You can

1)reinstall 4 with option to allow reinstall of same softare

2)Rebuild manually and check on errors
2a) # cd /stand/build
# /usr/lbin/sysadm/system_prep -v -k -s system
2b) REBuild the kernel.
Creating dlkm.vmunix_test and vmunix_test in directory /stand/build
# mk_kernel -v -s system

2c)If it works then Move new system file and new kernel into place. backup system, vmunix, dlkm for current kernel.

# mv /stand/build/system /stand/system
# cd /
# kmupdate /stand/build/vmunix_test
# shutdown -ry 0

NOTE Dont use reboot instead of the shutdown -ry 0 in thelast step.

The shutdown is necessary for the success of this process.
Please halt all applications before the
shutdown command (if you have a problem with an process there is a chance of hanging the shutdown).

If any errors occur post them

steve Steel
