MQ-Series Installation Problem on HP UX 11 machine

Is there any specific patch available for MQ-Series on HPUX 11.
Please find the following error which I am getting:

Hi,
The following is in the installation guide, so you probably checked it, but just to make sure :-) :
DCE has to be installed.
root/sv00239#swlist | grep -i dce

I think I encountered the same problem.
It happened to me when I tried installing from a sw depot (not from the cdrom)

It was actually a bug in IBM's release.

However it looks like you are installing from the cd.

Check out your /var/adm/swagent.log file. it should have more info. in my case it tried to run a script that was not found in the place it was meant to be.

Now i'm able to install using
following command.

bash-2.04# swinstall -x source_directory=/CDR/hpux11/mqs520.v11 MQSERIES

But the problem is unable to start Queue Manager.

command used is
#crtmqm -q test.manager

Error Message is
AMQ8101:Unspected error (893)

Have you checked the kernel setting MQ is pritty picky about these. Check manuals as I have only run MQ on 10.20

If you log onto the IBM website you can look up AMQ8101:-

AMQ8101 Unexpected error (&1).

Explanation: An unexpected reason code with hexadecimal value &4 was received from the MQSeries queue manager during command processing. (Note that hexadecimal values in the range X'07D1'-X'0BB7' correspond to MQI reason codes 2001-2999.) More information might be available in the log. If the reason code value indicates that the error was associated with a particular parameter, the parameter concerned is &2.
User action: Correct the error and then try the command again.

I would look in the log files. I can't rememember exactly where they are but /opt/mqm/mqmgr/logs rings bells?

The log files have been found in the path '/var/mqm/errors/'.
The error message from the log file is :

07/10/02 14:32:59
AMQ6184: An internal MQSeries error has occurred on queue manager QM_test.

EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the MQSeries error recording routine has
been
called. The failing process is process 8036.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.

Here by I am attaching the process 8036 error file with error snippet.

I've been on my hols this last week...

I would do as it says & contact IBM. There does not seem to be any meaningful stuff in the error file. As I said previously, it looks like a common problem from the posts on the IBM/MQ message boards.

Thanks for Everybodys response.

Finally i got temporary solution for the following error which i used to get while starting Queue Manager.
(Error Message is
AMQ8101:Unspected error (893) )

The problem was with open ldap authentication on my HP-Unix. After Diabling ldap from /etc/nsswitch.conf. MQ-Series started working.

I encountered the 893 error when implimenting a fallback from MQ v5.3 to MQ v5.2. The error file at /var/mqm/errors shows that it has to do with LDAP authentication. What was the entry that got added to /etc/nsswitch.conf that corrected the problem?
