    <description>One of the first scripts every SA learns to right.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I settled on a nightly cron and email that was basically a  'grep' for day and 'vmunix'.  (* Complaints are always listed in syslog.log starting with 'vmunix'. *)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The above thread has some invaluable scripts attached.</description>

      <description>anyone know of a syslog scanner, floating around. looking for a tool/script perl || ksh  to scan the syslog constantly looking for errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2 choices - build my own or get a working copy and build from there.</description>
