mozilla (Netscape 7) won't start

Hallo again

I successfully downloaded and installed Netscape 7 (B6835AA_B.11.11.06.01_HP-UX_B.11.11_32+64).
I also have GTK (B6848BA) on my system as required in the install doc.
If I then try to start netscape by
$ /opt/Netscape/netscape I don't come far. It ends with a bus error and a core dump! A trace of the start script "./netscape" is attached to this report as "mozilla.error". Please look at it.
I found that /usr/local/lib is somehow interesting in that context. But this location is empty on my system !? Should there be some files from the install procedure ?

Now what more can I do to get Netscape 7 properly started ?

Hi there.
Could you pls attach the run-mozilla.sh, that is mentioned in your file with error at line 38 ? That is causing the problem and would help a bit further on.

HP and Netscape no longer have a working relationship. Since the Netscape binary and libraries are stripped and source that matches the binary is not available, it is not possible to get to a root cause analysis. There will be no further updates to Netscape on HP-UX although the binaries will be available for download.

The new preferred browser is Mozilla, which is available here:

Mozilla for HP-UX is built and maintained by an HP organization, responsible for its build, packaging, and support.

Since Netscape 7 is based on a very early version of Mozilla, there should be very little difference in operation - with the exception that Mozilla has many more defect fixes in it than Netscape 7.
