Getting JetAdmin for HP-UX 11 and 11i

Hi guys,

I tried to install a JetDirect printer with SAM, and I got this error: "/opt/hpnpl/admin/hppi or /opt/hpnp/admin/jadmin not found..." I presume that is because JetAdmin is not installed on that machine... I tried to find it on the HP website but can't find it...

Do anyone have the link were I can get it for HP-UX 11 and 11i???

The jetadmin is obsolete but hppi works fine.

Do not add network printers with sam but use the program supplied from the command line.

One additional note: You don't need to use SAM or jetadmin or hppi to add a printer that is already configured on the network. Just use the command: addqueue

addqueue is in /opt/hpnp/bin (old JetAdmin software) or /opt/hpnpl/bin (current software) and usage is very simple:

addqueue -h IP-or-hostname-of-printer -q local-printqueue-name
