      <description>I get the following message when I try to display something to my screen :-&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;behp666 # Xlib: connection to "behp525:0.0" refused by server&lt;BR /&gt;Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached&lt;BR /&gt;Error: Can't open display: behp525:0.0&lt;BR /&gt;Error: Couldn't find per display information&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can I increase the max no of X clients on my wkstn?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Gary</description>

      <description>Gary,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I believe you can modify the /etc/X11/X0screens configuration file -&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;increase the FileDescriptors parameter.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- ramd.</description>

      <description>I beleive you're right ...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also see /usr/lib/X11/Xserver/info/screens/hp &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;FileDescriptors &lt;NUMBER&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#       The number of file descriptors available to the X server&lt;BR /&gt;#      for its use.  The number of connections (clients, more or less)&lt;BR /&gt;#          is limited by the number of file descriptors.&lt;BR /&gt;#&lt;BR /&gt;#      The minimum value is 25, and a current (as of 10.20) maximum of&lt;BR /&gt;# 384, allowing a maximum of slightly under 256 total connections to the&lt;BR /&gt;# Server.  The default value is 192 (which allows a few under 128&lt;BR /&gt;# connections).  If a value provided is out of range, the server yields&lt;BR /&gt;a&lt;BR /&gt;#warning and continues using the minimum or maximum, as appropriate.&lt;BR /&gt;#&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;NB this value can be changed via Sam -&amp;gt; Display-&amp;gt; Xserver config-&amp;gt; Modify Server options.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Both methods require the Xserver to be restarted.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However is this a local HP Xserver or PC Xemulation ?&lt;/NUMBER&gt;</description>
