Hi All,
I want to compile gtk pixmap theme engine on my HP-UX 11.00 (with Ximian GNOME 1.4 installed)as a shared library. THE HP-UX porting centre doesn't provide a shared library version of the theme engine. So I downloaded the sources and tried to compile it. But the compilation fails to produce a shared library version. I have attached the error message.

I need the shared library version because when I want to use a gtk 1.2 theme that depends on pixmap engine in GNOME control centre, it fails to find the shared library version. Is there a method to tell it to use the archive version instead?

Thanks and regards

saurav

Hi

did you try -dlopen

Therefore, libtool will create
*** a static module, that should work as long as the dlopening
*** application is linked with the -dlopen flag.

Steve Steel

I don't have any idea how to use -dlopen. If this means compiling gnomecc or any other application that uses this theme engine, then it is hardly feasible.

saurav
