Yepp. Call HP. Check if firmwares of SPU and GSP are the latest. In addition please check if GSP LAN console is not connected to public network. Broadcast LAN storms can cause GSP to hang...
Eugeny

Tombstones will not help. This is GSP hang, not main SPU hang. Did you check LAN console connection? Disconnect it at all and monitor GSP if it will be hanging again
Eugeny

BTW, why do you think it's hardware issue? I saw something about Diags upgrade to at least Sep 2002. And some patches PHSS_27811 (11.0) and PHSS_28075 (11.11). The best is to update Diags, GR and HWE path bundles from Sep 2002 CDs (at least).
How often do you get this '32' event?
Eugeny

Not necessarily very likely, but it could even be a firmware issue. I had to update my GSP firmware once last fall.

Pete

Then discard this event. It's ok to have this one during emergency power off. If you will go to GSP I believe you'll see GSP events logged also, stating that hpux hung
Eugeny

Hi,

We get the same alerts here.
Started after we applied the June 2002 patch sets to our Ls & Ns.
We've traced it to an OnLine Diag / PDC ver mismatch.
It will go away when you upgrade your PDC version.

HTH,
Jeff
