    <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this version is consistent with previous versions, then no.  It should just create a /opt/java1.4 directory and install there.  Your 1.3 will be intact for whatever.  You can, if you want to or need the space, swremove it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Chris</description>

      <description>Thanks Chris. That means if at all I need to swremove the old version, I need to backup all personal files in m/opt/java1.3 so that I can copy the same to the current opt/java1.4 directory</description>
