External modem config

Hi, I need to hook up an external modem on a HP9000 K570 machine. I need it so if the internet goes down we can dial in. I've attached a modem to the 25 pin External modem port. Launched SAM and tried to activate with no luck.
Listed in SAM is:
/dev/console Console 10/4/0 0 0
/dev/tty0p7 Terminal 10/4/0 7 9600

I try to add a modem and I get errors:

There are no available ports on the highlighted (selected)mux/serial device

Any suggestions on what to try next?

Hi Tim

Try following:

1. # dialin enable this should create device files for modem

2. use SAM to add modem with device created in step 1

Hi, I got to the part where I type:

$ cu -m -l cul0p7 -s 19200 dir

using document:

and I get a response: Connect failed: Line Problem

any suggestion?
