    <description>Typically 2 possibilities;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. The tape drive needs cleaning&lt;BR /&gt;2. the physical tape used is deteriortaing.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you clean the drive, try a new tape, and still get this problem then try powering off and on the drive (if internal you will need to powerdown the server then on again) and if it still happens then the drive may need replacing.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <title>getting error during Oracle hot backup ?</title>

      <description>At the end of the backup I am recieving the following error in the syslog:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SCSI TAPE: dev = 0xcd030040 I/O error during close&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Why would this happen ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Scott.</description>
