topic swinstall problem in Operating System - HP-UX

swinstall problem

when I start the swinstall method and try to give the directory where my depot resides I get the following error :
"Cannot establish a lock on this target because of an external error (for example,the lock file could not be created)."

any suggestions ? thanx

kill de swagentd

# swagentd -k

remove thee file /var/adm/sw/product/swlock if exists

look if you have write permissions in this directory

start swagentd

# swagentd

and try to install now!

Verify disk space.

Verify that the lock file doesn't exist yet.

I followed steps

1.swagentd -k
2.rm swlock
3.swagentd

but the same error occurs
