Question regarding ODE: Is there a way to either print or save the diagnostic results. So I boot to the Support Plus CD and start-up the ODE. I run my diagnostic and get the results. I can look at the log, etc. But does this info get saved off to some file somewhere so I can access it later? Or am I destined to get a camera and take a picture of the screen?

I would be happy to use the on-line STM tool if it actually had some diagnostics in it.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

Online disgnostics (?stm) does indeed have diagnostic capability and I find it indispensible in suporting production machines with stringent availability requirements. I recommend it highly. (Though it is most useful when the HP engineer is around to enter his super-secret codeword.) 87)

However, think about it for a second........ you booted from a CD, HP-UX is nowhere in sight and therefore there is no way to access any of the printers attached to the system. I usually drag a serial printer over and hang it on the back of the terminal if I want copies of the test results.

The online STM tool is completely seperate from ODE. What you can do with STM though is strip the disc drives for their errors when you suspect problems.
