      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is it possible to install an oracle 9i on a HP server with an existing oracle 7.3.4 version. Will my old version gets affected with the new one. Do I have to configure something on oracle 9i?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards &lt;BR /&gt;Maye&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>What's is the OS version and hardware type(32/64 bits)?&lt;BR /&gt;If I am correct&lt;BR /&gt;7.x doesn't work on 11.x&lt;BR /&gt;And also 9i doesn't work on 10.x&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regds&lt;BR /&gt;TT&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Yes, it is possible. I have Oracle 9i, 10g installed on the same server. Please be aware the PATH,ORACLE_BASE(HOME,SID),&lt;BR /&gt;and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables were updated when you switch between the database instance. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you,&lt;BR /&gt;Chia-Jen Chyan</description>
