Timezone with sendmail

I sent an e-mail from HPUX 11.00 at 07.PM. Then via Lotus Notes I received this mail immadiately, but why different between sending and receiveing time is to long(almost 1 day). We use the same time zone. How can i fix it ? Thanks

I have the same experience before and that time I was using "elm" to send mail. After I have changed to "mailx", the timezone problem is eliminated.

I think you can try using "mailx" and see if it is the case.

You can designate a time zone in the /etc/mail/sendmail.cf file:
