      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;uname -a &lt;BR /&gt;is a command runnable for every user by default. You will get some information about operating system, version and release, hostname, hardware type and user license. To find out if you use 32 or 64 bit OS you can use the command&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;getconf KERNEL_BITS&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(which you can run only as superuser)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Allways stay on the bright side of life!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Peter</description>
