I have software that requires that some patches are present. How do I list installed patches and O/S levels like 11.11?
Better yet, how do I grep the list to see if I have a certain patch. Any help would be appreciated.
do the command> swlist -l fileset | grep PHXX
or grep <STRING></STRING>

It's always good to know the state:
# swlist -l fileset -a state |grep -i ph

The swlist -l product command will accomplish this. If you want to know about a specific patch, swlist -l product | grep <PATCH_NAME>

And check the state of patches. swlist -l fileset -a state</PATCH_NAME>
