ssh for hp-ux

I am looking out for binaries of 'ssh' for hp-ux 11. Can anyone lead me to some site with binaries for hp-ux. I did a search on hp.com and itrc.hp.com, no results were found.

Try the HP porting archives, i.e.:

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Networking/Admin/openssh-3.1p1/

You will also need to install openssl and zlib, both also available from the same site.

You can get openssh from the HP porting centre:

It comes as an already assembled depot....

Thanks to all who replied, it helped to install ssh. Though I have another hurdle to resolve. I am trying to reach a host outside the firewall. Normally I used to use socksified telnet, ftp for such purposes. The new host that I am trying to use is restricted and only 'ssh' has to be used to connect to it.

Do we have a socksified ssh for hp-ux ?. I did a search on google, hp.com couldn't find one.

A fully tested and supported HP-UX Secure Shell will be available at http://www.software.hp.com by June 6, 2002.

HP-UX secure shell (T1471AA) is ported from OpenSSH3.1p1 for hp-ux 11.0 and 11i.

It is supported under the HP-UX support agreement.

If you have not yet connected ssh through your firewall, please configure your firewall to allow the port ssh uses to pass through, which is defined either in the sshd configuration file, or used with sshd command.

Hi,

SSH uses port TCP/22 by default (you can change it to another port) and it should be opened up unidirectional at your firewall.

SSH comes with SFTP (secure ftp equivalent) and SCP (secure rcp equivalent).

If your firewall only allows SSH connections, you can tunnel your other services across SSH since SSH supports tunneling. I have tunnelled Oracle Net8 (sqlnet) connections from Oracle client to Oracle database server without problems.

Another SSH distribution (not OpenSSH) but works equally well is SSH Communications distribution:
