    <description>I was directed to a different shutdown file in a different location.  This file works properly.  I am checking the file to see what the difference was.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the help.</description>

      <description>I have installed ArcIMS 9.0 onto my D380 server which has HP-UX 11.1 as an OS.  There is a file that was part of the installation that should shutdown some programs.  When I try to run it I get the set: Syntax error.  Here is the file contents and location.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-rwxr-xr-x   1 arcims     users          148 Dec 19  2003 aims_shutdown&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;arcims: /arcims/arcgis/arcims/Xenv ==&amp;gt; more aims_shutdown&lt;BR /&gt;#!/bin/csh&lt;BR /&gt;#&lt;BR /&gt;# Stop ArcIMS at system shutdown.&lt;BR /&gt;#&lt;BR /&gt;cd $AIMSHOME/Xenv&lt;BR /&gt;./aimstasker stop&lt;BR /&gt;sleep 2&lt;BR /&gt;./aimsmonitor stop&lt;BR /&gt;sleep 2&lt;BR /&gt;./aimsappsrvr stop&lt;BR /&gt;sleep 10&lt;BR /&gt;arcims: /arcims/arcgis/arcims/Xenv ==&amp;gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for any help.</description>

      <description>Since there are no set commands in the script you posted, the errant command must be in one of the other scripts that are called from this one.</description>

      <description>set -vx&lt;BR /&gt;run your script. check what is causing the problem.</description>
