    <description>Hi guys &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;  Just curious, i know we can tyep "stty erase ^H" to make backspace functional on my system but it seems that I need to do it everytime I open an xterm window. Is there any other way I can make this change permanent?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards&lt;BR /&gt;Henry</description>

      <description>Put the setting in /etc/profile or .profile&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then set cde to read the environment so the settings get set every time you open a terminal session.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
