    <description>We are using Tru64 5.1 in this we are having problem with ftp id.Once we use ftp id to do ftp we are not in a position to use change direcoty command nor dir command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any solutions/suggestions to resolve this problem will be highly appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanx in advance</description>

      <description>The server has chroot jail implemented.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That prevents you from changing directories once connected. Its a security measure to prevent people from hacking the system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It is set up in the configuration file for the ftpd server. I have to know what kind of ftpd server it is to help further.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>we are able to use the dir,cd commands using other logins.But the problem is only with the FTP id &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What are the changes to be done in order to use these commands using the FTP id&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;With other loggins all the commands are working fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The version of the os is Tru 64 5.1 on ES 40 servers</description>

      <description>I'm an HP-UX certified admin. I'm not current on Tru64.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To really help, I'd need to know what version of ftpd server is on the machine. Its likely though not definite that its wu-ftpd.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Look for a file called ftpaccess.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cd to the directory its in.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;use vi to edit the ftpaccess file or other configuration files.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Change the settings for the user giving you trouble.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Alternatively you could download and post the ftpaccess file here.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;root access to the server is required to fix this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This post is useless if you are not using wu-ftpd on the server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
