Hi,

I use fbackup to do my os backups every week but all of a sudden today the fbackup just froze. The session starts but nothing is written to the tape. I checked the tape and everything is good with it and also everything is good with the fgraph and fconf file. If anybody knows of any other reason it would be appreciated.
Hi:

OK, are there any NFS mounts specified in your graph files? Also, are any of the fbackup tasks getting any process time?

...JRF...

Hi:

One other question: Do you specifically exclude /cdrom and /SD_CDROM in your graphs? Is it possible that you don't and that you have a CD mounted when you normally don't? I'd like to know the fbackup options you are using too. Do you invoke "-l" for LOFS files? Have you expected fbackup to start writing to the tape; not noted this; and killed fbackup (NOT a good thing to do!!!).

...JRF...

...JRF...
