Hi ,

Let's post here what we think that a sys admin should do daily to keep his systems up and running:

1. Monitor performance of the system
2. Monitor resource usage (memory,CPU util., disk space)
3. Follow-up on the backup policy
4. Manage and maintain the integrity of the file system
5. Keep up with up to date pathches
6. Monitor log files...
7. Keep in touch with forums.itrc.hp.com

Install Openview and get somebody else to watch for problems.

Deal with the problems when you get called by the first line support.
