      <description>Rp5470 running 11.i . . .LP spooler stalls out for no apparant reason.  This happens 2 to 3 times a week.  Once I restart it, all is fine.  Any ideas?</description>

      <description>lpshut&lt;BR /&gt;lpsched -v&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This should give something in the lp log file.</description>

      <description>Are you using jet direct print servers?&lt;BR /&gt;Several years back, trying to save money on print servers it was suggested to use the built in printer server that was availble on every terminals.   I had set them up as Remote printers.  Once I got more then 80, the spooler begin to flake.  With ever printer added it got worse and worse until the spooler crashed once a week.   I installed "jet direct" print servers and that fixed the problem.</description>
