I jus installed an rp3440 from scratch and everything its ok, no other application its running.

The top command shows: CPU 100% idle but the load averages its 10.47 avg .
The system has 2 processors with 9.44 and 11.50 load respectively. I’m not sure but the correct values in the load column have to be between 1 and 3.

Thanks

What else did you install? Any patches? Any HP applications? If you have glance installed use it to look at what all processes are running?

If you haven't installed any patches, install the latest patch bundle from HP and see what things look like then.

Did you do anything with the kernel? Change any kernel parameters? Apply any tuned kernel parameter sets?

Something is definitely not right if the load average is 10, but more info is required?
