Email reporting tools

We have a batch system that uses sendmail to email 1000's of messages a day. I'm looking for a way of managing delivery failures and do some reporting on the mails sent. Currently the failures get send back to the sending email address. What I would like to do is produce a daily report of the messages successfully delivered (e.g. email address and time) and the failures. Can someone recommend a product/solution. We are running the mailing from a HPUX server.
