is there anyway of running HPUX on intel box? or as VMware guest system?

Nope no way, I wish there was HPUX version for X86 systems.

You could try to buy a low priced workstation on ebay.

Pete,

Itanium is Intel.

But Pete is right, Hp-ux will not run on Intel's Intel, nor anything other than HP's PA-RISC or HP/Intel's Itanium.

And of course, HP-ux will only run on HP built Itanium boxes.
