Hi,

I have problems with ftp and rcp.
At first when I tried to rcp (any user) to or from other clients, I got
rresvport: bind: Permission denied

then I had a look at remsh permission and I changed them in 4755. Now I don't get the previous message anylonger but rcp hangs and no file is copied.
The same problems happens while trying with ftp: it hangs.

What could be the cause of these problems?

thanks in advance
Alessio

Yes,
I'm using DNS; I have no error messages in syslog. FTP works good until I try to get/put files: I reach the remote host and I login, but I cannot do any copy.

Alex
