I get this message below from sam when I try to configure auditing. As it describes, I do not have the .secure directory. However, should I just creat this or do I have a problem with my audit install? I never recall having to install auditing before...seems just automatic on my other servers? What do I need to do to install it or configure it properly?

Could not determine any information about the auditing system. This area of SAM cannot be used unless SAM can gather information about the auditing system. The attempt to get auditing information using audsys(1M) failed. The command return value was "-1" and the standard error output as: cannot open and lock /.secure/etc/audnames; verify that the auditing system has been installed properly, x x
xx x and the /.secure/etc directory exists, prior to running this command

Rita:

I had no idea hp had a docs site. Although I don't specifically have an answer yet looking through the docs, they will be beneficial for this task and furture ones. Thank you!

Mike
