topic printer delay in Operating System - HP-UX

hello. got a new L2000 w/ HP-UX 11.0. Copied the printer queues from old system (hp-ux 10.20). Now some printers are experiencing minutes delay in printing. The print job sits on the queue (lpstat -o) then prints after a while. First i thought maybe it's network but after testing, i don't think it's network at all. Any hints??

Hi Michael,

Maybe this doc can help.

http://www.hp.com/cposupport/networking/support_doc/bpj06503.html

Also do a nslookup and see how the printer name and ip are resolved. If required put the printer name and ip in the /etc/hosts file for faster resolution.

Hope this helps.

Regds
