    <description>You would need to write a C program and use the socket system call to create the socket.  If you are looking for a pipe the pipe system call is availablew for that purpose.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am not sure if you are asking because one was deleted and you are trying to recreate one or you are just curious.  Programs create the sockets they need.  Normally a user does not create sockets.  There is not a unix socket or pipe creation command.  These are unix system calls.       <description>Hi:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are wanting to learn about sockets, by far the easist answer is to do them in perl. That code then very neatly translates into C if you want to pursue them further.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
