    <description>Is your filesystem set for largefiles.  &lt;BR /&gt;To Check:&lt;BR /&gt;fsadm /dev/vg_name/rlvol_name&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To Set to LargeFiles&lt;BR /&gt;umount /filesys&lt;BR /&gt;fsadm -o largefiles /dev/vg_name/rlvol_name&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may also need to go in and set the largefile option in your /etc/fstab.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vg/lvol  /filesys vxfs delaylog, largefiles 0 2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps,&lt;BR /&gt;Rita&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This might be due to the fact that the database is started with a to smal ulimit setting in the shell:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From Metalink&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cause: The error occurs because the database is started with a ulimit less than the &lt;BR /&gt;datafile size.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;fix:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ensure that the ulimit is set to 'unlimited' for filesize.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To check the ulimit : &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(in the c-shell)&lt;BR /&gt;[tchp1]/u02/home/usupport&amp;gt; limit&lt;BR /&gt;cputime         unlimited&lt;BR /&gt;filesize        unlimited&lt;BR /&gt;datasize        262144 kbytes&lt;BR /&gt;stacksize       32768 kbytes&lt;BR /&gt;coredumpsize    2097151 kbytes&lt;BR /&gt;descriptors     2048 files&lt;BR /&gt;memoryuse       unlimited&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Andreas</description>
