Error message in LP log

Hi,

This error message is captured often in /var/adm/lp/log

Error: Can't open display: hostname:0
Error: Couldn't find per display information

Any thought why it is doing and how to fix it?

This may apply to you ..either set the DISPLAY variable properly or disable JobMonitor in Jetadmin.

You have the Job Monitor enabled and it is trying to start the graphical job monitor, xjjm, on a host that lacks X. Modify the print queue using Jetadmin or hppi and set the 'Job Monitor' to 'OFF' and you will be fixed.
