i think i can do it ,thanks
another question i restrict a user in using sam just for printing and routine tasks, when i try to open sam from the GUI it work , but when i open it from telnet it give me the following error message
"Running more than one SAM session from the same terminal port is not
allowed. SAM was unable to obtain a lock on the SAM session lock file
for this terminal port, "/var/sam/lock/lock_td", probably because
another SAM session has already been launched from this terminal port
and it owns the lock on the file. If you are not running more than one
SAM session, remove the above mentioned lock file."
i see that no another session is opened and i remove this file but nothing work .what should i do

You can only run 1 sam session as root or any other user.

You run sam -r as root to set up other users you want to grant limited sam functionality.

If that session terminates abnormally:

ps -f | grep sam

Some of the processes will be sam processes, carefully kill them.

If you are sure there is no other sam session, than go ahead and delete the lock file and keep working.

If sam hangs and leaves behind the lock file the warning message can be false.

SEP
