Hi

I have a problem when i run IISTARTUP
Its stopping on: waiting to sytem logging to go ONLINE
( ingres version 6.4 )
I tryet to run LOGSTAT i sayes:
system logging not ONLINE

Is it looking for syslogd ? do a "ps -ef|grep syslog" to see if it is running.

Hi

You supplyed commands did find it running its sayes:
root 471 1 0 22.19.04 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/syslogd -D

but i the mean time i run RCPCONFIG -INIT
and put all the params into config
and after that IISTARTUP and the ingres was up

Any good reason for that ?
It seams that it builds a new LOGFILE ?
