      <description>Do not have doc for that. But roughly you will be required to follow following steps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. Shutdown system. (you can do online, but may run into lbolt errors and/or system problems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2. Set correct scsi id for tape drive.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3. Check termination.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4. connect cables. check for connections.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But that parts ok&lt;BR /&gt;its more about setting the hpux / cde up&lt;BR /&gt;because to makes backup i nead to know what device i nead to rebuild into kernel&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;peter</description>

      <description>You do need to do anything. Just connect the dat24 and reboot the box.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The device files will be created under /dev/rmt dir.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anil</description>

      <description>Hello Peter;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you installed your system with no tape drive connected to it maybe you nedd to insert the driver to the kernel to make the tape works.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Go to SAM -&amp;gt; KERNEL CONFIGURATION -&amp;gt; DRIVERS and insert the "tape2" driver.&lt;BR /&gt;Aftre doing this (and of course reboot) you will see your tape as CLAIMED in ioscan and the device files created.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pedro Cosmen, Hardware &amp;amp; Parts, Spain</description>

      <description>th alot to all people on this amasing site.&lt;BR /&gt;that was me first problem was to choose the right driver for kernel rebuild&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and now the tape i working fine&lt;BR /&gt;and then i only have me old problem that i cannt log into CDE&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Peter SIEMENS Denmark</description>
