Hello Lee Sitton,

1. Check whether your https server is running on 443 port.

# netstat -na |grep 443

Because your Java server may also tried to run on the same port as your https server is running.

2. Also Check is there any port Redirections takes place in your system, like redirecting all the https requests to some other port.

3. Also check if you are using the correct domain name from the IE client. Your client may not be able to resolve your domain name(Web address). Check your DNS configurations of the Client System.

Regards,
Senthil Murugan.

I should have been more specific...sorry!
I CAN access the console from IE6, it's just that it now takes about 2 minutes to connect and then a further 10 minutes to open the console window after logging in. The screen colours are incorrect and parts of the display are no longer visible. When I eventually get "in", it sometimes crashes or hangs. I reverted back to an old version of the JRE and this cured all. I was hoping that a frimware upgrade to the web console would fix it but it didn't. Of course, I need the later JRE to run Web JetAdmin so I can't keep the old JRE.

Web Consoles and Java issues have been the Bain of my existence during a crisis. It seems every time I've really needed a Web Console it's been sluggish, or down.

Iâ ve done the following in the past to resolve my issues, which sound very similar. (From IE the colors were red and black.)

Reboot the web console
Update/replace the java on my PC with a newer version of Sunâ s java.
Update the firmware on the web console.
Have multiple versions of java on one system. (Unix or Win) This is a bit of a pain.

(last resort, give up, plug in a console) J

Good luck

-B
