    <description>Take a look at the home directory setting in the /etc/passwd entries for the users that are having problems.  If they are nfs mounts, you'll see something like "/net/(hostname)/home/(username)".  Root, on the other hand, probably has a local home directory, which is why root can log in without problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete</description>

      <title>CDE login taking 3-5 minutes</title>

      <description>I have a strange problem when i use CDE login in HP/UX 11.00.&lt;BR /&gt;It takes 3-5 minutes to make a CDE logon on the new installations off HP/UX 11.00.&lt;BR /&gt;The logon is hanging in the blue Copyright screen 3- 5 minutes.&lt;BR /&gt;I have try to find a solutions, but I canÂ´t find anything in the errorlog and startlog.&lt;BR /&gt;When I login as Root it passed it without no problems.&lt;BR /&gt;It seems that I only have problems with normal users.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have attached the dr_dt file FYI.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It there anyone who can help me??&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;All our workstations is mounted agaist our Unix server.&lt;BR /&gt;I have the same mount issues even if I login as root, but root passed it without any problems.&lt;BR /&gt;If it related to mount point, how can I discover that.&lt;BR /&gt;Jan Studsgaard.</description>

      <description>Hi Pete,&lt;BR /&gt;If I telnet to the same hosts as a normal user, I just passed it without any logon issues.&lt;BR /&gt;It seems that I only have the problem then logon using a CDE logon.&lt;BR /&gt;I hope this information will help.&lt;BR /&gt;Jan Studsgaard&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just checkup you have got PHSS_25787 patch installed on your system.&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -l product | grep PHSS_25787.&lt;BR /&gt;This is a CDE patch.You can remove this patch using swremove and try login.&lt;BR /&gt;I hope this may solve your problem as i had done the same procedure when i faced same problem sometime back.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I found out that the solutions was the NFS mount point that you mentioned Pete.&lt;BR /&gt;I have to set the rsize and wsize to 32768 then mount against our aix 5.2.&lt;BR /&gt;This is the solution on my problem:&lt;BR /&gt;/home on 10.45.1.33:/home rsize=32768,wsize=32768,NFSv3 on Sat May  1 13:40:14 2004&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have never used the wsize and rsize before, but it seems to be the solution on my problem.&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you...both off you.&lt;BR /&gt;Jan Studsgaard Jensen</description>
