You can use the transferqueue command but probably the easist method is to use SAM->Printers & Plotters->LP Spooler->Save/Restore Spooler Configuration->Actions->Save Spooler Configuration.

The configuration is saved in /var/sam/lp. Copy these files to the other hosts and run the same command except 'Save Spooler Configuration' becomes 'Restore Spooler Configuration'. (This does assume that you have installed the JetDirect software on all the hosts.)

I have an 11.0 server with many remote printers configured with SAM and network printers configured with hppi.

What is the best method to transfer all of these queues over to an HP 11.i server?

Debbie,

I did a boolean search on the forums and came up with the following threads (using +transfer +print +queue as my argument):

http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0xdcccc8ecad09d6118ff40090279cd0f9,00.html

http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x168d8cc5e03fd6118fff0090279cd0f9,00.html

among others. This should help get you started, I think.

Pete

For the networked printers which are configured by hppi can be transfered by the command "transferqueue". You can do man on transferqueue to get the details.

Sandip
