Using SAP, how can I make omniback restore to my staging system instead of my production system to do a database copy. It only wants to restore to the system it was backed up from.

Is this using the SAP recovery or filesytem? What database are you using (Infomix)?

I'm using HP/UX, Omniback II Version A.03.00,
HP DLT7000 and Oracle 8.0.6 with SAP

I am not sure of the SAP procedures, we don't use it.. I know the Openview Applications Forum has a lot of Traffic, and would probably be a better place for help.
Dumb question here. Does the Unix Integration Manual Pg 171 regarding the OB2HOSTNAME have any effect to what you are trying to accomplish?
I wish I could be of further help.. Our environment is Informix/HPUX
