Internal access to GSP with HP-UX 11i

Hello,
In HP-UX 11.0, I can internally acceded, with a 'cu' command, the GSP by configuring a tty device (/dev/tty1p0).
In HP-UX 11i it seems impossible.
Is it really true or have I misread ?

It is possible to do in HP-UX 11.11 too, if it is possible or not seems to be hardware dependent. I can do it on our A400 servers with HP-UX11.11 installed but I can't get it work on our rp2430 boxes with the same OS release (and patches).

You're right. It seems that it's a revision problem of the GSP because I have the same error with a rp5470 HP-UX 11.0 and a rp5430 HP-UX 11i.

#cu -l /dev/tty1p0
Connect failed: line problem

Any idea ?

Hi!

The "internal port" functionality has been removed for the newer "B" type of the GSP. To get the GSP type, issue "HE" at the GSP prompt... B-GSPs use B.??.?? firmware.
