Keyboard Locked Error in Console

Hi,

In our HP 700/96 series terminal, which is connected to our HP 9000 N Class server,
We are geeting KB LOCKED error.

Due to this we are not able to access the console.
Can anyone tell a solution for this problem.

telnet to the 700 series,
ps -ef |grep console
kill the console shell
it should respawn

This is a bit drastic but may work.
I use it to clear problems with 800 series consoles more than 700s..

Hi Bill,

Thanks for ur immd response.

After this problem we had rebooted the server for 4 times thru' telnet session.
Now also it has been checked that no console shells are active.

Check /etc/securetty and /var/adm/inetd.sec.

May I suggest if the 700/96 console terminal is showing : KBD Locked
You hold the SHIFT key down and then push the RESET button on the keyboard
