      <description>Hi Phil, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is the SNMP Network Management MIB-2 SubAgent. If you don't want to use the SNMP on your hp box modify the SNMP_MIB2_START variable to 0 (this will prevent startup of this agent in the future). To shut this down right away do a /sbin/init.d/SnmpMib2 stop &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also there are other files you have to modify if you want to disable SNMP agents altogether. They are (in /etc/rc.config.d directory) &lt;BR /&gt;SnmpHpunix, SnmpMaster, SnmpMib2, SnmpTrpDst &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-HTH &lt;BR /&gt;Ramesh</description>
