      <title>deleted directories under 'var'</title>

      <description>Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is not good but happened ! I deleted the directories under /var directories. I have copied few files back but it still failes with Kernel settings.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can I recover the files and directories under /var or rebuild them.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PS : i used rm -r * from within /var</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is no other recovery then a backup tape or an Ignite tape.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Since all the sw is under var, you will have problems with almost everything on your system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;C.</description>

      <description>Suggest you get your backup tape(s) out. You will need to recover the whole filesystem from scratch, as you will not have a possibly of what has been removed.</description>
