Hi,

So what's the problem with that? As far as I know that Oracle has already extended the supporting period of 8.1.7 to end of 2004, so 8i is still supported on HP-UX starting from 11.00 until end of this year.

Extended Support (ES): 31-DEC-2007
Extended Maintenance Support (EMS):31-DEC-2006

8.1.7.4 Support is extended to "31-Dec-2004 for strategic platforms". There are some Notes on MetaLink to confirm this.
