I have perl in all of the following directories. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# find . -name 'perl'&lt;BR /&gt;./opt/apache/lib/site_perl/5.6.1/PA-RISC1.1-thread-multi/auto/Apache/include/mod&lt;BR /&gt;ules/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./opt/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./opt/perl/html/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./opt/perl/bin/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./opt/perl_64/html/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./opt/perl_64/bin/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./opt/hpapache2/lib/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./usr/contrib/bin/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./usr/contrib/Q4/bin/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./var/adm/sw/products/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./var/adm/sw/save/PHCO_20262/Q4/usr/contrib/Q4/bin/perl&lt;BR /&gt;./qsc/perl5.005_03/bin/perl&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can I instruct the system to use the particular version.       <description>You just have to change the first line of apxs to the proper perl version !&lt;BR /&gt;by default :&lt;BR /&gt;#!/opt/perl5/bin/perl&lt;BR /&gt;either you change this line, &lt;BR /&gt;either you place in opt/perl5/bin/perl the good version.&lt;BR /&gt;check the version with :&lt;BR /&gt;/opt/perl5/bin/perl -v&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope that help.&lt;BR /&gt;Benoit</description>
