I agree with Thom. I use jetadmin to print to my networked HP printers - the only problem is that jetadmin/webjetadmin is a seperate application that is not included on the application CD's. You will have to download it here from hp's website.

Hi!
#1 - I was wondering how to create print queues and spools in HP-UX so that a networked printer may be printed to. I went through the process in SAM, but when it asked for queue and spool names, I wasn't really sure if I should have known what to put in. When I assigned basically random names to these items, the printer couldn't be printed to.

#2 - I have a new printer that I'd like to add and it was never listed on the older version of HP-UX's SAM we are running. Do I need to install its drivers somehow? If so, how do I go about this. Thanks!
Option from SAM to add networked printer, it then starts up jetadmin
Jetadmin wants to know the remote printer name and what you want to call that remote printer locally
