Hi,
It seems the fiber cable has either gathered dust or by chance it got bent somewhere
Just check if you can see the light on the other side of the fiber cable ( Physical look through the fiber cable while the other side connected to the card near which LED is glowing).
This is normal when we shift the fiber devices.

Regards,
Hi Arnold,

Make sure the ends of the cable are properly plugged into the adapter. On the server side trasmit/receive ends of the cable should go to receive/trasmit of the adapter. If that is correct, then check the connectivity of the cable all the way to the EMC.

-Sri

Arnold,

is the i/o path the same, yea should be..

the WWN is the same, but the HP driver says it's waiting_lin_up state.. have you called this into HP yet ?

did you swap in a new cable ?

could it be that you change the point-to-point layout by placng a different switch-PORT into your new coniguration ??

Bring up ECC-Admin, check the Host to switch, to port FA.

Did you miss something ?? Is the EMC Bin file the same ?

Is the FA address the same ?

Is the Masking and BIN file in sync ??

you might consult w/ EMC on this .

best of luck
Tom
Hi,
We just solved this problem yesterday. The first thing to do is to make a loop, that's mean that you've to take the cable who's going beetween your HBA and the disk array and to connect the same part of the cable on the two parts of the same HBA. and you will get this configuration :
Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
Device ID is = 0x001028
TL Chip Revision No is = 2.3
PCI Sub-system Vendor ID is = 0x00103c
PCI Sub-system ID is = 0x000006
Topology = PRIVATE_LOOP
Local N_Port_id is = 0x000001
Local Loop_id is = 125
N_Port Node World Wide Name = 0x50060b000006baab
N_Port Port World Wide Name = 0x50060b000006baaa
Driver state = ONLINE
Hardware Path is = 0/1/0/0
Number of Assisted IOs = 1890
Number of Active Login Sessions = 1
Dino Present on Card = NO
Maximum Frame Size = 960
Driver Version = @(#) PATCH_11.00: libtd.a : Jul 15 2002, 11:34:12, PHSS_26798
