    <description>Let me guess:  These are 32-bit apps?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;32-bit apps max out at 1.75GB of usable memory unless you use memory windows.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Suggestions:&lt;BR /&gt;1.  Switch to 64-bit apps.&lt;BR /&gt;2.  Otherwise utilize memory windows.&lt;BR /&gt;(ref. /usr/share/doc/mem_wndws.txt and KB Doc ID KBAN00000306)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;Jim</description>

      <title>Sybase/PeopleSoft memory allocation problem</title>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;Memory Recognition&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Running ASE 11.9.2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is on an HP-UX "N" Class Server running HP-UX 11.00.&lt;BR /&gt;We recently upgraded this server to have 5.00GB of memory.&lt;BR /&gt;The problem we have now is that if we have Sybase recognize 1.8GB of memory&lt;BR /&gt;then PeopleSoft(7) will not come up.&lt;BR /&gt;If we run Sybase with 1.3GB of memory then all instances of Sybase and&lt;BR /&gt;PeopleSoft will work.&lt;BR /&gt;Any clues will be greatly appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;Points assigned as always...&lt;BR /&gt;Andy&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
