Hi WD,

HP-UX 10.20 has been obsoleted (discontinuance, removal from the HP Corporate Price List) on the 30th of June, 2002. The end of support date is June 30th, 2003. Check out the following link:
http://www.software.hp.com/RELEASES-MEDIA/notices/ITRCenewsletterFEB03.htm

The only place I think of, where u can possibly still get HP-UX 10.20, is some of the well known auction web sites. Or, if you know some local HP-UX sys admins, you can speak to them too!

Happy searching,
Sri Ram

Recently I came by a set of 3 HP 720/50 machines complete with monitors and all. Installed OS version is 8.something which is very old. Since I'd like to get them to do something useful (like an X-terminal for my Linx Box) somebody told me to install hp-ux v 10.20 - but I couldn't get hold of the installation media yet. Could sombody help me out in this case?

TNX

WD

10.20 is neither sold nor supported by HP anymore. If you want 10.20 your best bet is to check out E-bay and see if anyone has any for sale.

Hi,
Check out with any of your SysAdmin friend whether they are using 10.20 and borrow CD from them for installation. You will not be able to download from any of the hp's site and remote changes of getting them in Sale too.

Regards,

I already answered here: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=589999
where a question like yours was asked. I have no idea what that person achieved, since he neither came back to tell us, not did he follow up on the offers, nor did he assign points to the offers.

Enjoy, Have FUN!
WD,

If you're having trouble getting your hands on HP-UX 10.x for those workstations, you might want to give Linux a try. There's a port of Debian 3.0 that works on a lot of HP PA-RISC boxes. Here's a link to the Open PA project's Linux page: http://www.openpa.net/linux.html
and here's a direct link to the PA-RISC page for Debian Linux: http://www.debian.org/ports/hppa/

Best Regards,

Dave
